At Alstom, we understand transport networks and what moves people. From high-speed trains, metros, monorails, and trams, to turnkey systems, services, infrastructure, signalling and digital mobility, we offer our diverse customers the broadest portfolio in the industry. Every day, more than 80 000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.

Could you be the full-time Manufacturing Manager - Elementary Production Unit (EPU) in Charleroi we're looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your technical and leadership expertise in a cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside dedicated and collaborative teammates.

You'll play a key role in managing all manufacturing activities for a project(s) within an Elementary Production Unit (EPU), ensuring efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (such as supply chain, quality, and industrialization teams), oversee operator training and qualifications, and drive APSYS deployment, and much more.

You'll specifically take care of task assignments to operators and the management of manufacturing processes but also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with corporate policies.

We'll look to you for:

* Managing the supply chain setup and validating quality plans

* Overseeing manufacturing preparation, including training and qualification of operators

* Ensuring smooth handover of industrial processes from PME to manufacturing

* Driving APSYS deployment and continuous improvement initiatives

* Overseeing SQCD (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery) performance and tracking associated KPIs

* Managing product changes and contributing to manufacturing feedback for improvement

* Ensuring compliance with local legislation and corporate policies (EHS, IRIS, Ethics, etc.)

* Developing and supporting the growth of operators through training and qualification programs

* Improving occupational safety for all employees and contractors

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That's why we don't expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we've listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

* Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience

* Experience in an operational industrial environment (mandatory)

* Experience in the railway industry, preferably within an industrialization environment (desirable)

* Proficient knowledge of special processes

* Working knowledge of industrial management, manufacturing processes, and technologies

* Understanding of configuration and change management

* Basic awareness of automation/robotization, greenfield/brownfield development, and ergonomics

* Strong leadership and team management skills

* Commitment to continuous improvement and safety standards

You don't need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you'll be proud. If you're up for the challenge, we'd love to hear from you!

Important to note

As a global business, we're an equal-opportunity employer that celebrates diversity across the 63 countries we operate in. We're committed to creating an inclusive workplace for everyone.
