Workshop Overview

Houlihan Lokey Women in Finance Day: Student Workshop & Networking in Munich - Monday, 01 June 2026 (11:30 AM - 4:00 PM)

This exclusive Women in Finance Day is designed to provide female students with a hands-on and in-depth introduction to M&A at Houlihan Lokey, together with Managing Director Madeleine Jahr and our Munich M&A team.

Participants will gain first-hand insights into investment banking, including key processes, day-to-day responsibilities and the skill set required to build a successful career in the industry.

The day will begin with an introduction to Houlihan Lokey and perspectives on working in investment banking, followed by a deep-dive into a real-life M&A case.
In an interactive workshop, participants will work in teams to prepare a board meeting deck, applying core M&A concepts in practice. Each team will present their results and receive direct feedback from experienced M&A professionals.

As part of a dedicated Women in Finance Q&A Session, Managing Director Madeleine Jahr will share her career path, industry perspectives and advice on navigating a career in investment banking. The event will conclude with a networking session, offering the opportunity to connect with our team, gain further insight into Houlihan Lokey´s culture, and learn more about entry opportunities.

Requirements

* Female student expected to graduate in 2026, 2027 or 2028
* Currently pursuing a relevant degree (e.g., Finance, Business Administration, Economics)
* Fluent (speaking, reading and writing) in both German and English
* Prior internship experience in financial services, consulting, or private equity is required, M&A experience is a plus, but not a must
* Most importantly, we seek highly motivated, collaborative candidates who value teamwork, take ownership, and are driven to deliver excellent results through commitment, resilience, and continuous learning
