Amazon is looking for an experienced Trade Compliance Manager to support our LATAM business on a broad range of global import and export matters. You may interact with AWS Development, Data Center Engineering, Product Compliance Engineering, AWS Services, Operations, Procurement, Supply Chain, Legal, Tax, Customs Brokers and other internal businesses and external stakeholders to drive trade compliance.

The role sit within the Global Trade and Product Compliance (GTPC) team and is responsible for ensuring the infrastructure and other equipment necessary to support the AWS services are imported/exported in a compliant manner across the multiple locations where AWS operates and expects to expand.
Core responsibilities include:
- Management of daily Import and Export operations for countries within the region.
- Develop, document, and maintain operational processes and procedures to support trade compliance and overall cross-border activity in the LATAM region, with initial main focus on Brazil.
- Work with cross-functional teams, communicate with colleagues in both business and technical roles and develop process that drives scale.
- Monitor import/export regulatory or procedural changes that could impact planning or related requirements, and clearly communicate those guidelines to stakeholders during the export/import planning process.
- Establish and manage positive business relations with key stakeholders and business teams.
- Collaborate with business units to proactively identify compliance issues and comply with regulatory obligations.
- Partner with service leaders across Amazon to identify and influence the development of new programs/products and services
- Assist with technology, hardware, and software trade classification and related activities, including: Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS), import license reviews, local partner government agency requirements
- Interface with internal and external functional partners to identify and rectify any information/process gaps.
- Build communications and training plans to achieve awareness in all internal and external partners so that they are aligned to trade and product compliance processes.
- Generate and contribute to performance requirements, timelines, and metrics for all related activities.
- Proactively identify and drive process improvement initiatives.
- The qualified candidate must have 5 or more years of trade compliance / trade operations experience, advising on compliance issues or similar regulatory issues, ideally covering multiple countries in the LATAM region. The successful candidate must be enthusiastic, and enjoys working hard, being challenged, and demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations.

Requerimientos del candidato/a:
- Bachelor's degree, or MBA in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field
- Experience working cross functionally across several teams
- * Proven professional experience with trade compliance (import and export), special customs regimes, customs valuation, tariff classification for multiple countries, management and response to regulatory contacts.
- * Fluent in English and Portuguese and/or Spanish.
- Experience leading process improvement, systems development, and project management
- Master's degree or above
- Experience leveraging technology to drive process improvements
