Title and Summary
Analyst, Strategy & Operations
Overview: The Analyst, Strategy & Operations role is part of Mastercard's North America Strategy & Operations team. This role will primarily support the North America Optimization program, with a strong focus on performance tracking, reporting, and analytics. The Analyst will partner closely with sales and cross-functional teams to monitor progress against targets, develop reporting tools and dashboards, and drive efficiency and transparency across the sales optimization process. This role will play a key part in advancing Mastercard's growth objectives by helping sales teams identify and execute opportunities that drive incremental transaction volume, revenue growth, and deeper customer engagement across existing portfolios.
Key Responsibilities:
Track, analyze, and report progress against regional Optimization targets, identifying performance trends, risks, and opportunities across North America portfolios
Build, maintain, and enhance reporting tools and Power BI dashboards that provide timely visibility into performance against Mastercard objectives
Partner with US and Canada sales teams across Financial Institutions, Digital Partners, and Merchants to support execution against Optimization targets through data-driven insights and opportunity prioritization
Support clear and consistent communication of Optimization performance and results to stakeholders, including account managers, product managers, and cross-functional partners
Analyze portfolio and customer performance data to identify opportunities to drive incremental GDV, revenue growth, and customer engagement through the Optimization program
Provide analytical support for broader North America Strategy & Operations initiatives and ad hoc strategic projects as needed
All About You:
Passion for Mastercard's mission and a strong interest in sales strategy and business operations
Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with ability to synthesize data into clear, concise insights; proficiency in Excel is required
Experience building or working with data dashboards (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools); Power BI and Salesforce exposure is a plus, but not required
High attention to detail and comfort working in tracking and reporting-focused environments, ensuring accuracy and consistency of outputs
Strong organizational skills and proactive mindset, with the ability to manage recurring deliverables and multiple priorities
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to collaborate across teams and build relationships in a cross-functional environment
Bachelor's Degree required (major in Business, Economics, Finance, Data Analytics, or related field preferred)

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
