About the team + role

As a Software Engineer you will be building and owning certain backend services and infrastructure that power our core financial products. You will also gain a unique look into how the US financial systems works on the inside and strengthen your financial-domain knowledge.

What you'll do

* Having a dedicated mentor who will help you navigate through Robinhood as a whole. From onboarding you on to our tech stack to teaching you about the financial domain, your mentor will get you ramped up and ready to make an impact- all while showing you what it means to be a Robinhoodie!
* Designing, building, testing, and releasing software solutions with stringent correctness and scalability requirements
* Partnering with various cross-functional teams to solve critical problems across the Robinhood organization
* Working with other financial institutions to build products and gain insight into the industry
* Maintaining and scaling an existing codebase

What you bring

* Prior software developer experience from internships, hackathons, or other side projects
* Familiarity with Python/Django or Go
* Understanding of relational databases and transactions
* Passion for finance and/or desire to learn more about the domain
* Strong CS fundamentals

In addition to the base pay range listed below, this role is also eligible for bonus opportunities + equity + benefits.
Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected base pay range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.

Zone 1 (Menlo Park, CA; New York, NY; Bellevue, WA; Washington, DC)
$123,000—$145,000 USD

Zone 2 (Denver, CO; Westlake, TX; Chicago, IL)
$109,000—$128,000 USD

Zone 3 (Lake Mary, FL; Clearwater, FL; Gainesville, FL)
$96,000—$113,000 USD
