Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a full-time Early Career Mechanical Engineer (Heat Transfer & Fluid Flow). In this role, you will:
* Generate and maintain liquid cooling and dry air flow diagrams and load analyses for combat system equipment.
* Conduct modeling and simulation of equipment cooling systems using the SIMSMART and Icepak software programs.
* Analyze existing equipment cooling system designs and recommend use and location of isolation and transfer devices to ensure seamless operation or fastest recovery in casualty situations.
* Develop cooling system studies and prepare technical reports.

The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics.

Must be willing to travel.

Must be a US Citizen. This position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Material, etc.) or equivalent technical degree.

-Basic knowledge with heat transfer and fluid dynamics calculations.

Desired Skills:
-Familiar with a computer aided design program.

-Basic knowledge of valves and pumps and applicability of each type.

-Experience in engineering design and object construction through school club, internship, co-op, or other employment.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
