Job Summary.
This new role in the data & analytics function within the Finance organization is an outstanding blend of business, data and data system analysis. System analysts will play a critical role in multiple projects such as one of the company priorities related to data migration, modernisation of the existing business processes over cloud environments etc. They will assess current business processes, understand problems, mapping with migration strategies and architecture design, and act as the backbone of our data ecosystems, comprising different cloud, on-prem services, reporting and analytical tools and various financial applications.
System Analyst is responsible for developing and managing data infrastructure spanning across cloud & on-prem technologies to accomplish technology and business goals. You will establish configuration management, automate our infrastructure, implement continuous integration, and train the team in DevOps best practices to achieve a continuously deployable system.
You will work closely with both architects and compliance and risk teams to ensure various controls are implemented on our systems from end to end, and periodically provide evidence reports on it.
You are a self-starting team player who combines sound business & IT understanding, data engineering and visualization skills to identify business needs and drive better business insights. You not only work independently using your experience in data collection, preparation, analysis and visualization to generate reports, KPI definitions and relevant business insights but also support business stakeholders across Finance department to deliver relevant business goals.
The role also assists with the identification and remediation of issues, and/or implements improvements to enhance effectiveness and efficiency leveraging data systems and analytical processes.
Responsibilities.
* Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems to provide end to end automated application integrations
* Design, develop, deploy and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines for data platforms by using toolings such as git and Airflows.
* Working with infra-as-code toolings such as Terraform or install, configure and provision the infrastructure in AWS for D&A and FPA's Data platform.
* Building operational performance monitoring such as Grafana and support of the cloud infrastructure in AWS/Kubernetes to ensure the hosted data pipelines and scheduled jobs are executed according to schedule and meet SLO and SLA.
* Provide controls evidence on our systems to compliance and risk teams periodically and support their ad-hoc requests or issues identified in the systems.
* Work with architects to support solution decisions making for different projects by providing information and knowledge on CI/CD and infrastructure.
* Support data engineering team to delivery agreed scope with product managers and business stakeholders
* Assist team's data engineers in creating practical demonstrations of proposed solutions
* Responsible for effectively implementing the various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure.
* Organize and present your findings in a meaningful way to make sure your stakeholders are able to make the right decision
* Support strategic decision making by analyzing opportunities as well as helping to structure and provide data insights to answer key strategic questions
* Engage with users to understand their needs and develop/maintain application, logical and technical data architectures.

Skills & Experience
* 1-3 years of experience in a similar role
* Demonstrated track record of system analyst, cloud engineering or a comparable data-oriented role
* Proficient in SQL, Python and bash
* Able to understand and explain complex system/infrastructure, data problems in concise, clear and simple terms
* Strong technical skills who proactively improves processes and automates tasks
* Proficient in design, develop, deploy and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines
* Knowledge of cloud engineering, infrastructure, networking, scripting and database-related technical skills.
* Proficient in infra-as-code toolings such as Terraform, puppet, etc.
* Proficient in Linux, docker and kubernetes.
* Experience in setting up data foundations using open source ecosystems such as DBT, Airflow etc is preferred.
* Experience in structured & unstructured databases such as hadoop, Snowflake, AWS S3 or similar is preferred
