Overview
This role owns day-to-day planning and operational execution for PepsiCo's Contract Manufacturing Partner (Doehler) as well as being an agile team support across the Supply Planning function. You will manage MRP-driven supply signals, purchase order conversion, system replication, and supplier performance-while working closely with Customer Services, Inventory, Quality, Plant Procurement, and broader PGCS stakeholders to ensure continuity of supply, accurate inventory visibility, and strong compliance.
To ensure continuity of supply and inventory controls, this role is supporting cross-cover arrangements with the wider supply planning team.
Responsibilities
Contract Manufacturing Planning & Execution (Doehler)
* Execute daily planning activities associated with our Contract Manufacturing Partner (Doehler).
* Detailed and accurate response to MRP signals.
* Analyse purchase requisitions and convert to Purchase Orders and Stock Transfer Orders.
* Own open order book management and the close-out process (end of period, quarter, and year).
* Ensure clear audit trail for open items, receipts, and invoice/GR/IR follow-up as required.
* Ensure accurate, timely processes are in place so Pepsi systems correctly reflect contract manufacturing inventory held at Doehler.
* Manage escalations from Customer Services and Inventory on issues identified with Contract Manufacturing processes.
* Build and maintain key stakeholder relationships within PGCS linked to contract manufacturing.
* Support cross-functional problem solving with Planning, Inventory, Quality, Finance, and Plant Procurement.
* Coordinate resolution of documentation issues to prevent receiving, invoicing, or inventory discrepancies.
* Liaise with supplier to determine accurate, up-to-date stock levels, including safety stock setting.
* Proactively manage material reserve risks and issues in partnership with the Inventory team.
* Monitor supplier quality and delivery performance using agreed KPIs.
* Hold bi-weekly documented calls with the supplier; publish minutes to agreed stakeholders.
* Communicate innovations and new set-ups; ensure planning, master data, and inventory impacts are understood and actioned.
* Maintain effective two-way communication to support service, quality, and inventory performance.
* Work with supplier to determine impact to PepsiCo inventory levels following any quality issues.
Cross Functional Support
* Operate with a clear prioritised workload (daily/weekly backlog)
* Open order book and inventory management - end of period, quarter, year
* Execution of weekly controls through dashboard reporting
* Use daily planning review and exception management to surface risks early and drive timely decisions
* Drive continuous improvement through root-cause analysis and standard work updates.
* Provide cover for monthly controls and reconciliations where required, ensuring timely closure and communication of issues.
* Coordinate issue resolution with internal/external stakeholders as required (e.g., warehousing/shunting vendors) to maintain continuity of operations.
* Provide cover/support for obsolescence (reserves) tracking and reporting, including risk identification and mitigation follow-up.
* Assist with maintaining control documentation and audit readiness (SOX/GCS), including responding to audit queries as needed.
Qualifications
Essential Skills & Experience
* Experience using SAP and strong Excel skills (Power BI, macros, and Analysis for Office beneficial).
* Strong understanding of MRP and planning execution, with proven analytical problem-solving skills.
* Confidence converting requirements into execution (PO/STO creation, exception management, and follow-through).
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities.
* Clear written and verbal communication skills; able to run documented governance calls and manage stakeholders.
* Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment and build strong supplier relationships.
* Customer awareness and a service mindset, balancing supply continuity, cost, inventory, and compliance.
* Third level qualification in Supply Chain or related discipline.
