We currently have an open position for Component Handler based in Shannon, Co. Clare and will involve the following
Key Responsibilities
* Departmental Support - Assist Supervisors, Zone Leads and senior employees in developing and executing action plans to meet departmental goals.
* Operations & Systems - Operate all production and support systems, including inventory, traceability and documentation platforms.
* Training Support - Participate in onboarding and training of new team members.
* Cross-Functional Interaction - Respond to and support requests from manufacturing and other support groups.
* Replenishment Systems - Operate component replenishment systems where implemented.
* Cycle Counting - Perform routine cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory.
* Inventory Management - Maintain inventory using FIFO principles and ensure materials are stored correctly according to specifications.
* Problem Solving - Troubleshoot moderate issues and propose effective solutions.
* Documentation - Complete all required paperwork and documentation accurately.
* Material Handling - Handle, transport and store materials, chemicals and finished goods safely.
* Bulk Order Processing - Receive, ship, stage and process bulk orders.
* Inspection & Packaging - Inspect, pack, label and prepare sterilisation loads as required.
* Compliance Knowledge - Maintain strong knowledge of audit expectations, exception management, GMP and data integrity requirements.
* Leadership by Example - Demonstrate consistent leadership behaviours and act as a role model.
* Area Expertise - Serve as a key "go-to" person for resolving area-specific issues.
Experience & Education
* Leaving Certificate or equivalent, with basic proficiency in Maths and English.
* Two years of relevant experience in a manufacturing, warehouse or operations environment, or a suitable combination of education and experience.
* Candidates without formal qualifications may be considered based on relevant practical experience.
Technical & Business Knowledge
* Working understanding of standard operational procedures and basic inventory or documentation systems.
* Ability to work within a regulated environment and follow established quality and safety practices.
Cognitive Skills
* Able to follow established processes and make routine adjustments when required.
* Comfortable troubleshooting straightforward issues and escalating when needed.
Planning & Organisation
* Capable of organising daily tasks and managing workload to meet schedule requirements.
* Willing to take direction from senior team members and adapt to changing priorities.
Decision Making & Impact
* Makes decisions within defined procedures and guidelines.
* Handles information responsibly and maintains confidentiality.
Supervision Received
* Works under general supervision with clear instructions for new or unfamiliar tasks.
