Job Overview
The Principal SME Engineer is responsible for driving excellence across product families within our manufacturing operations. The role requires a knowledgeable subject matter expert in manufacturing engineering and Energy products and processes, with a strong focus on optimizing product family processes and ensuring consistency, quality, and innovation. The role requires leadership, technical expertise, and a collaborative approach to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

* Serve as the product family and Center of Excellence subject matter expert for molded products
* Development of high technology advancements that lead to process excellence and intellectual properties.
* Drive a culture of change through process benchmarking and optimization through technical expertise.

* Develop process standards that surpass industry competitors.
* Develop and deliver training and knowledge sharing applicable to product families and processes to enable organizational learning.
* Support strategic business project execution and management.

What your background should look like
REQUIREMENTS
* Extensive experience in manufacturing engineering, with a focus on product family processes.
* Proven track record of leading and implementing process improvement initiatives.
* Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
* Excellent leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
* Experience with ERP systems and their role in manufacturing operations.
* Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).
* Knowledge of Industry 4.0 standards and practices.
Education
* Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
* Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a relevant field. (Preferred)
