We are now seeking a Lead Engineer to join our team in Nottingham, supporting the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of critical environments and general building services.

The Role

As a Lead Engineer, you will take ownership of the day-to-day delivery of engineering services, ensuring all planned and reactive maintenance is completed to the highest standards.

You Will

* Allocate and oversee work for the engineering team, ensuring effective use of time and resources
* Manage budgets related to maintenance activities and specialist contractors
* Protect uptime for business-critical systems including data rooms, networks, and manufacturing assets
* Lead on change control processes and support critical environment audits
* Produce technical reports and participate in emergency call-out/standby duties
* Monitor environmental conditions and utilities usage to maintain optimal building performance
* Ensure all statutory and critical maintenance tasks are completed
* Maintain accurate engineering records and documentation
* Champion H&S compliance in line with CBRE procedures, permits, and standards
* Partner with Facilities Management and EHS teams to support continuous improvement

About You

We're looking for an experienced engineer with a strong background in electrical systems and critical environments.

Essential

* Recognised electrical qualifications (Apprenticeship, HND, City & Guilds)
* 18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations
* Strong supplier/contractor management skills
* Experience monitoring utilities and environmental conditions
* Strong communication skills and confidence in decision-making
* PC literate with strong MS Office capability

Desirable

* Experience working within data centres or critical environments
* Knowledge of L8 water hygiene
* BMS, HVAC, UPS or standby power exposure
* IOSH or equivalent H&S training
