Job Summary

In this role you will be responsible for the operation of a variety of manual and CNC machines including lathes, mills and grinders to produce and repair precision parts used in the repair of Blower and Pump systems.

A good working knowledge in the usage of metrology equipment (predominantly imperial) is vital to the role.

Responsibilities

* The use of manual and CNC machines including lathes, mills and grinders to produce precision parts used in the repair of blower and vacuum pump systems (note that IBS carries out repairs to Blowers and Pumps so the role is largely manual machining)

* Measurement gathering using metrology equipment (predominantly in imperial)

* Thermal spraying and welding (training will be given here)

Basic Qualifications

* Recognised apprentice or vocational training qualification

* Experience of working with machine tools and/or mechanical assemblies

* Working knowledge of safety protocols
