Descripción del puesto:

Main Duties and responsibilities:
§ To have a thorough understanding and knowledge of all services related to the Rooms Division
§ To co-ordinate with the Reservations department and the champion in charge of arrival checking to ensure proper communication and correct room blocking for VIP arrivals for the coming days.
§ To co-ordinate with the Housekeeping supervisor to inspect the room and to spot-check inspected VIP rooms. If necessary, to liaise with respective departments to get the room up to standard.
§ To co-ordinate the delivery and quality of the amenities for the VIP rooms
§ To ensure VIP rooms are available by the time of VIP's arrival, if not, make available a suitable temporary room.
§ To co-ordinate the preparation and delivery of welcome letters with GM's office
§ To co-ordinate the transportation of the VIP guests with the champion in charge of arrival checking, the Concierge desk, the Airport desk and if necessary an outside contractor (stretched cars, special wishes).
§ To co-ordinate with Security for the arrival of high profile guests
§ To prepare with reception the registration card, keys and pre-registering the reservation in Opera.
§ To personally greet and welcome the guests upon arrival, escort the guests to the room and to do an in-room check in.
§ To check on guests during their stay, to ensure their day to day is seamless
§ To personally handle, in co-operation with respective departments, all top-VIP requests around the clock. For all regular VIP's, to follow-up on their request the next day, using Hotel Expert reports.
§ To ensure that the guest history is maintained accurately and up to date.
§ To liaise with Communication Centre for wake-up calls and other requests.
§ To co-ordinate with Housekeeping regarding the desired cleaning and turndown timings.
§ To co-ordinate with Concierge regarding all guest reservations and trips requests.
§ To co-ordinate with Reception regarding the guests invoice and payment.
§ To liaise with the GM's office in regards to organizing VIP events.

Administration:
§ To maintain a VIP section on the whiteboard in the back of the house and in the Communication Centre.
§ To implement consistent guest recognition programs.
§ To promote World of Hyatt schemes to our potential guests whenever possible.
§ To upsell rooms, food and beverage outlets and other facilities whenever opportunities arises.

General:
* To understand and strictly adhere to the Rules & Regulations established in the Associate Handbook and the Hotel's policy on Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety.
* To report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name tag at all times as per Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel and Villas grooming standards.
* To maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
* To maintain a good rapport and working relationship with staff in the place of work and all other departments.
* To project at all times a positive and motivated attitude and exercise self-control.
* To attend and contribute to all staff meetings Departmental and Hotel trainings.
§ To respond to changes in the Rooms function as dictated by the industry, company and hotel.
§ To monitor welcome procedures in the Lobby and direct and assist when needed.
§ To monitor guest complaints and ensure they are logged and rectified in a timely manner.

Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Roles & Responsibilities
§ You will adhere with full compliance at Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel and Villas' regarding Occupational Safety and Health Management System policies, procedures & operational work instructions in order to protect the Health & Safety of stakeholders and ensure its requirements are fully met as it relates to your job function.
§ Participate in the risk assessment activities.
§ Develop new work procedures as required, in coordination with department heads.
§ Provide all employees with relevant OHS information in an appropriate manner.
§ Ensuring that all works are conducted in a manner safe and without risk to employees and visitors.
§ Planning to do all work safely.
§ Providing advice and assistance on OHS to all employees.
§ Action in OHS reports and carrying out workplace inspections.
§ Preparing and participating in OHS meetings and OHS programs.
§ Ensuring on safe work practices at all times.
§ Conducting toolbox talks and daily team briefings.
§ Ensure that all incidents are reported to the OHS Manager.

Occasional Duties:
* To carry out quarterly, bi yearly and yearly inventory of operating equipment as well as conducting monthly par stock.
§ To carry out any other reasonable duties as assigned
