As a Junior Payment Associate ( French), you'll be part of ENGIE's Global Business Support (GBS) organization, supporting payment operations for multiple ENGIE entities across Europe. Your role will be essential in ensuring that supplier payments are processed accurately, on time, and in compliance with internal policies and financial regulations.

What you'll do

* Execute and monitor payment runs according to established schedules.

* Review payment proposals and ensure payment accuracy.

* Investigate payment rejections and resolve payment-related exceptions.

* Support payment processing for suppliers, intercompany transactions, and Travel & Expense (T&E) payments.

* Collaborate with Treasury, Accounts Payable, and other Finance teams to ensure smooth payment operations.

* Maintain compliance with internal controls, company policies, and audit requirements.

* Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives.

* Provide support across Finance teams during peak periods and participate in cross-functional learning opportunities.

What we're looking for

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

* Up to 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable, Invoice-to-Pay, Treasury, or payment processing (internships are a plus).

* Good understanding of Finance and Accounts Payable processes.

* Experience working with ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA is an advantage).

* Knowledge of invoice management or workflow tools (Basware, ServiceNow) is considered a plus.

* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

* Proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and problem-solving mindset.

* Ability to work both independently and as part of an international team.

* Advanced French and English
