Responsible for the execution, maintenance, and enhancement of the group-wide Sanctions Compliance Programme or for its implementation in a group entity.

YOUR CHALLENGE

* Act as a member of the centre of competence for sanctions matters and requests in regards to international sanctions and embargos and provide guidance and advice on policies, clients as well as products and services (financial instruments) from a sanctions compliance perspective
* Perform assessment on clients and business relationships with potential material nexus to sanctioned countries or persons, including reputational risk reviews and determines materiality for making a decision (if necessary through the Sanctions Committee) on accepting prospects or maintaining business relationships
* Advise employees on appropriate measures in adherence to Global Sanctions and Control Framework, incl. its implementation
* Establish and/or provide input and feedback to sanctions relevant procedures and other related issues
* Support the identification of Specially Designated Nationals (SDN), through the internal Global Name Search process
* Monitor legal and regulatory developments, implement locally applicable laws and regulations, and ensure the application of relevant sanctions regimes (UN, US, UK, EU and CH)
* Collaborate with local Compliance across Group entities to ensure know-how transfer regarding policy decisions, controls, and material developments
* Support projects and perform quality assurance, business testing of applications and respective end-to-end processes
* Prepare and implement internal guidelines, alerts, and control designs through different communication channels
* Provide advise and conduct training for all lines of defence

YOUR PROFILE

* Completed bank apprenticeship, preferable with corresponding further education (e.g. postgraduate studies in Compliance Management or equivalent) or University degree (Bachelor or Master), preferable in, Legal, Economics, Political Science, Audit or Finance
* Several years of working experience and knowledge, preferably in sanctions and embargoes, war materiel, legal, compliance, risk, audit, operations, markets or other (control) functions banking
* Good knowledge of international sanctions and embargos (CH, EU, US, UK, UN) and their possible impact on daily business and processes
* Experience in financial products and related order entry systems is an asset
* Flair for IT and other information utility or database know-how is another advantage
* Advanced knowledge of MS Office products and understanding of IT processes
* Proactive, solution oriented and ability to work in a team and on own initiative with diligence and necessary quality, providing practical solutions and working independently
* Open for new challenges, interest in geopolitical matters and willingness to learn and substitute colleagues
* Meticulous and precise work ethic
* Business fluent in English
