Your mission:

An apprenticeship opportunity titled : Apprentice - Security Engineer has just opened at Airbus India located in Bangalore, India. You will join the Cyber Security department in charge of Digital Cyber Security of Airbus.

Ideally, this is a 12-month program and it should start in May 2026

Your main missions will consist of :
Security Innovation & Research: Contributing to research projects that explore the next generation of cyber defenses, including the evaluation of emerging security trends and disruptive technologies.
Security Development: Assisting in the creation and automation of security scripts, tools, and workflows to enhance our defense capabilities and streamline security operations.
Cloud & SOC Operations: Supporting the active monitoring of our global infrastructure while helping to implement advanced security guardrails across multi-cloud environments (AWS/GCP).

Your tutor will support you identify your professional objectives and develop your skills

This apprenticeship will allow you to develop the following skills:

* Advanced Cyber Defense: Learning the art of Detection Engineering - turning threat intelligence into actionable security alerts.
* Cloud Security Mastery: Gaining hands-on exposure to cutting-edge architectures including CASB (Cloud Access Security Broker), CSPM (Cloud Security Posture Management), and CNAPP (Cloud-Native Application Protection Platforms).
* Advanced R&D Skills: Developing the ability to research complex IT vulnerabilities, perform root-cause analysis, and prototype innovative security solutions.
* Insight into the Integrated Security Lifecycle, from initial design to operational maintenance and defense.

Your Boarding Pass:

Eligibility Criteria:
* You are a Fresh Graduate (Technical Under Graduate or Post Graduate) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related Engineering field.
* Zero Work Experience: This program is exclusively for candidates with no prior full-time professional work experience. (Internships and academic projects are excluded from this and are welcome).
* Commitment: Ability to commit to the full 12-month duration of the apprenticeship.
You possess the following competences:
Technical Knowledge (Academic or Project-based):
* Foundational Security: Strong conceptual understanding of SOC workflows, the Cyber Kill Chain, and common attack vectors.
* Operating Systems: Solid grasp of Windows and Linux internals (processes, registry, file systems) relevant to security analysis.
* Cloud Awareness: Theoretical knowledge of Cloud Security pillars and the shared responsibility model.
* Scripting & Automation: Basic proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell to support security development tasks.
* Analytical Tools: Familiarity with the logic behind SIEM, CASB, CNAAP or CSPM tools.
Soft Skills:
* Curiosity & Creativity: A passion for deconstructing complex systems to understand how they can be protected.
* Attention to Detail: The ability to spot subtle anomalies in large datasets.
* Adaptability: A high level of "learnability" to thrive in a fast-paced, research-heavy environment.
* Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills and an eye for technical detail.
* Adaptability: Eagerness to learn and pivot across different domains of cybersecurity
