The Apprenticeship Program:

The Apprenticeship Programme at Bloomberg is an exciting opportunity to enter the company in a full-time role, take on real responsibility, and discover new skills from day one. Our apprentices make meaningful contributions to our company, while also learning across the industry. Targeted at school leavers, young professionals, military veterans, and those seeking a career change, our program is designed to bridge the gap between the British education system and the ever-changing job market.

The Payroll Team:

Our Payroll team plays a vital role in ensuring every Bloomberg employee across the region is paid accurately and on time, a responsibility we take great pride in. As an apprentice, you'll join a collaborative and supportive team where accuracy, trust, and professionalism are key.

You'll gain hands-on experience in payroll operations, learn how to manage confidential data, and develop a solid understanding of business processes that keep a global organisation running smoothly. This is a great opportunity to build transferable skills such as communication, time management, and data handling, while also developing your technical skills in Excel and payroll systems.

We're looking for someone who's curious, hardworking, and eager to learn, a true team player who takes pride in doing meaningful work that directly impacts others. In return, you'll receive ongoing training, mentorship, and development opportunities, all within a team that values growth, integrity, and a positive attitude.

Eligibility criteria:

* Three A-levels (or equivalent) with grades (predicted or achieved) A - C
* Learners must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level than this apprenticeship in a similar subject
* Possess the right to work in the UK
* Have lived in the UK continuously for the past 3 years

We'll trust you to:

* Help deliver accurate and timely payroll for the UK, making sure everything follows company policies and legal requirements.
* Work with internal stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met.
* Support improvements to payroll processes and day-to-day operations.
* Keep payroll information up to date in our payroll systems.
* Assist with reconciliations, checks, and audits each month.
* Build good relationships with payroll, tax, and benefits providers.
* Help process payments and support account reconciliations.
* Provide excellent customer service through our help desk, email, and in person.
* Answer employee questions on pay, benefits, and tax.
* Work with Finance, HR, and other teams on projects and system updates.

You'll need to have:

* Good written and spoken communication skills to work effectively with different teams
* Some experience in a customer service role (any industry) and a passion for helping others
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately to deadlines
* Excellent multitasking, time management, and problem-solving skills
* A positive, proactive, and solution-focused attitude
* Adaptability and resilience when faced with challenges or changes
* Confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information
* Curiosity and willingness to learn, with motivation to develop new technical and personal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, global environment
* Basic IT skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
