Join our Team

About the opportunity
At Ericsson Silicon, we design the application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs) and Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) that power our 5G and future 6G radio networks. As a new graduate ASIC Developer, you will join a highly skilled team working with advanced technology nodes, world class EDA tools and end to end silicon development for our Radio System portfolio.

This full-time role is aimed at Master's/Bachelor's students and recent graduates who are passionate about digital design and want to start their career in microelectronics.

To help you get started in Silicon, we offer an internal Silicon Academy. This is a 4-month program with hands-on training, support from industry experts, and work on real projects. The program covers all key parts of ASIC and FPGA development for Ericsson Radio Systems, helping you quickly build skills for end-to-end development. After completing Silicon Academy, you will be well prepared to pursue your career at Ericsson Silicon in roles such as FPGA Developer, ASIC IP Designer/Verifier, ASIC level Integrator/Backend engineer/Verifier, Validation engineer or System architect.

What you will do
* Contribute to the design and implementation of digital logic for Ericsson's radio ASICs or FPGAs (IP and/or SoC level).
* Work with RTL design and/or verification (e.g. SystemVerilog /UVM), from specification to clean, synthesizable code and robust testbenches.
* Work between RTL and physical design, generating the first netlist and make sure it meets timing, power, and area targets.
* Participate in micro architecture, documentation, code reviews and design quality improvements.
* Collaborate closely with colleagues in areas such as architecture, physical design, verification firmware and system teams across Sweden and other global design centres.
* Support integration, validation and lab bring up to ensure that the ASIC meets power, performance and quality targets.
* Continuously learn new tools, methods and technologies and share knowledge within the team.

The skills you bring
* Master's or Bachelor's degree (recent or soon-to-be graduates, no later than August 2026) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Engineering Physics, or a related field. A Master's program in Embedded Systems is considered a strong advantage.
* Good understanding of digital design fundamentals (combinational/sequential logic, finite state machines, clocking, reset).
* Practical experience from coursework, lab work, or thesis projects in RTL design and/or verification, utilizing technologies such as VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog, or UVM.
* Basic familiarity with ASIC/FPGA flows (simulation, synthesis, static timing, lint, etc.) is a strong plus.
* Hands-on experience in building and using AI agents and understanding how agent-based AI workflows can be applied to silicon development (e.g., automation, verification support, analysis, or productivity enhancement).
* Knowledge of practical experience in signal processing, and high-speed interfaces (e.g., SerDes/DDR) is considered a merit.

Who you are
* Curious, a fast learner, and not afraid to ask questions.
* A collaborative team player who communicates clearly and confidently in English (both written & spoken).
* Structured and quality-focused, with a strong sense of ownership in your tasks.

What we offer
* The opportunity to work on cutting edge ASICs and FPGAs that are core to Ericsson's 5G and future 6G radio products.
* A supportive environment with mentorship, learning platforms and early career communities, enabling you to grow from graduate to specialist.
* Flexible ways of working, a diverse and inclusive culture, and colleagues who are passionate about technology and collaboration.

How to apply
Attach your CV, a short cover letter and grade transcripts (including any ongoing courses). We'd love to hear about your relevant experience, so please highlight:

* Relevant projects, thesis work or lab assignments within digital/ASIC/FPGA design or verification.
* Student jobs, internships, or extracurricular activities that show your interest in hardware, microelectronics, or telecom.

We welcome applications from recent graduates and students in their final year who can start latest by end of August 2026. We review applications continuously and look forward to hearing from you!
