The role provides an excellent opportunity to join a market leading team as an actuarial intern and become closely involved with treaty reinsurance collaborating with the regional broking and analytics team on some of the most important insurance and reinsurance companies in Brazil and the Latin American and Caribbean regions - in a fast moving and supportive team environment. The role will cover working on existing accounts as well as prospecting opportunities for new business.

What can you expect?
As a member of the regional Analytics team, your role will be to provide actuarial support for sales and brokers as an integral part of the process designing and placing reinsurance structures for various classes of business into the London and Overseas reinsurance market with a focus on Brazilian accounts but also supporting the wider region.

This role would suit someone who enjoys working as part of a team, is able to communicate actuarial ideas to non-actuarial insurance practitioners, can develop ideas and is confident putting forward their opinion.

We will count on you to:
* Data collection and manipulation in spreadsheets and other database applications;
* Analysis of client data, creation of model assumptions and financial analysis and optimization of the client's reinsurance structure using Guy Carpenter's proprietary simulation software MetaRisk;
* Preparation of client pitches, presentations and client meetings and participations in discussions with clients and reinsurers;
* Communication and presentation of results and conclusions to brokers (and clients) in clear terms, tailored to the audience;
* Support of the renewal process through reinsurance pricing analysis and support of the broking team in negotiations with reinsurers;
* Deliver analysis according to internal analytical quality and compliance standards;

What you need to have:
* Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science or Statistics (from 4th semester onwards);
* Readiness to work in a highly demanding environment with a motivated and international team.
* Enthusiasm and interest to learn about Insurance, Risk and Reinsurance.
* Willingness to travel.
* Strong analytical skills, preferably a technical or finance background.
