Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Materials Engineering Intern to support the Materials Engineering group at the Mississauga, Ontario site.
YOU MUST HAVE
* Actively pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or Metallurgy discipline, from an accredited college or university.
The Honeywell building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP clearance.
WE VALUE
* Experience and knowledge supporting design and manufacturing of electronics assemblies (printed boards, printed board assembly, soldering / solder metallurgy, conformal coating, cable and wire harness assembly), mechanical assembly and joining (welding, brazing, fasteners, adhesives), chemical processes (painting, plating), castings, composites.
* Experience and knowledge in the selection, functionality, and physical properties of materials.
* Experience reviewing/interpreting drawings, material and process specifications, and technical data sheets.
* Experience supporting production activities in a factory setting.
* Ability to independently convey technical ideas and concepts through team discussions, presentations and in writing.
* Ability to independently create specific action plans, prioritize time and resources effectively.
* Ability to work with cross-functional teams to meet expectations of internal and external customers.
* Strong focus on task completion and exceeding expectations.

RESPONSIBILITIES
This role requires the individual to multitask across several concurrent tasks and assignments supporting Production, Design, and Quality groups.
* The individual will provide Materials Engineering support with guidance from senior level engineers.
* These activities can include materials and process selection, completing customer deliverables, technical problem solving, failure analysis, drafting specifications, process development, and execution of technical projects
