We are looking for a Government Affairs Intern. This position will be based at our Washington, D.C. office.
You'll make an impact by:
* Conducting research on U.S. legislative, regulatory, and policy developments relevant to Siemens' government affairs priorities
* Monitoring public policy updates and preparing internal summary notes and briefings for the Government Affairs team
* Assisting with the preparation and organization of materials for internal meetings, external engagements, and events
* Supporting internal coordination efforts by compiling background information, tracking action items, and maintaining organized records
* Drafting written summaries, memos, and communications under the guidance and review of the supervisor
You'll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to collaborate effectively across multi-cultural teams, while also working independently and seeking guidance as needed
* Self-motivated and proactive, with strong organizational and time management skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
* Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in International Relations, Legal Studies, Political Science, or related programs
* Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
* Exception: Will consider sponsorship of short-term internship (up to 12 months) through the J-1 Visa Exchange Visitor Program. J-1 interns must be post-secondary university students or have graduated no more than 12 months prior to the Exchange Visitor Program start date.

The pay range for this position is $26.00 per hour. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
