ADAS Hardware Optics Development Intern/Co-Op

Job Description

Our Hardware development team in Plymouth, MI develops Camera, Ultrasonic and Radar based driver assistance products.
We offer an internship (full time or part time) for 6 months or longer, or a Co-Op position to support the development team in our optical lab.
* Support engineering debugging and development testing in lab and lab environment
* Performing optical performance measurements using LabVIEW
* Analyze and document the test results
* Support developing LabVIEW programs
* Support in documentation and process related tool
* Create 3D models for fixtures. Work with 3D printer.
* Support building mechanical fixtures.
* Use Digital Multimeter (DMM), oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzer

Requerimientos del candidato/a:

Qualifications

Required
* Pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronic, or Physics
* Minimum GPA of 3.0
* Minimum 18 years of age
* Good communication skills and team work spirit
* Ability to work independently and self-organized
* Understanding of electronic design and circuits
* Ability to read basic electronic schematics and wiring plans
* Good working knowledge in Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, and Power Point
* Ability to work in a lab environment
Preferred
* Ability to work with basic electrical instruments such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.
* Ability to use basic electrical/mechanical hand tools and using soldering irons
* Experienced in electronic design and controls
* Experienced in Python or LabVIEW. Understanding of complex scripts
* Mechanical understanding and hands-on experience
