Job Description:
Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated Intern - Operations and Maintenance Engineering for Summer, 2026. The position is based in Pearl City, HI.

Mission:
Contribute to the preparation of O&M documentation on the basis of internal standards and contractual requirements

Accountabilities:
* Analyze the field data in order to ensure the definition, for each equipment the maintenance needs, of the correct failure rate.
* Contribute to the preparation of a field analysis report
* Contribute to O&M documentation and participate in internal design reviews, including documentation of
minutes and actions
* Contribute to the preparation of O&M Management Plan, Operation Plans, Maintenance Plan, Training plans, Spare Parts and Special Tools list
* Participate to projects, bidding and delivery phases within project schedule

Required skills/experience:
* Excellent written and oral communications skills and ability to communicate complex technical information
* Strong relevant technical skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.

Education:
* Current Engineering student at a 4-year university with a graduation date between December, 2026 and December, 2027

Languages:
* English Proficiency

The hourly rate for this position is $22.00/hour.
