What is this internship about?
Within the Brand Marketing team and under the Retail Experience department, our future Retail Visual Merchandising Junior (M/F/X) will be responsible for participating in the development of visual merchandising in our Salomon stores.
More specifically, you will be involved in organizing the layout of sales areas (stores, presentation spaces) to optimize product display, enhance customer well-being and satisfaction, and promote sales. At Salomon, "VM" plays a central role: it works closely with store designers, retail operations, marketing teams, and D2C merchandisers.
Your main tasks will include:
Visual Merchandising:
* Contribute to the development of our general guidelines that provide direction for all Salomon Touchpoints.
* Contribute to the construction of the VM/Marketing seasonal and campaign guidelines for Brand Stores, Factory Outlets and Wholesale partners across the globe.
* Assist in planning new store openings in locations around the world in collaboration with local VM teams.
* Participating in and following up on monthly meetings with regions.
* Keep a strong connection with Regional VM teams (APAC, EMEA, NAM, LATAM) to gather VM feedback and implement it globally when relevant.
* Stay up to date on the trends in store design and visual merchandising.
* Store Opening: Assist in planning new store openings in locations around the world in collaboration with local VM teams.
New Concept, travel and HQ Retail Labs:
* Participating in the creation, maintenance, and logistics of our "Retail Lab" . Receive samples, unpack and display to our standards.
* Contributing to the development of our new store concept by testing product display options on different fixtures and furniture
Requerimientos del candidato/a:
Qualifications
Education: currently studying for a Bachelor or Masters' degree in a business school or university, with a major in marketing or visual merchandising or interior design or graphic design.
Languages: English level B2+ is required, French is a plus.
IT skills: good command of MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
Desired skills: you are autonomous, curious and a team player. You know how to use your creativity to improve sales. You like and potentially have a first experience in the outdoor industry, the retail environment and project management
