Mercure Amsterdam City is a dynamic 4-star hotel with 368 rooms, multiple meeting rooms, two restaurants, a spacious terrace, and a lively bar. We provide breakfast, lunch, dinner, room service, and a wide range of drinks-creating a vibrant environment for both guests and staff.
During this hands-on internship, you will gain experience in both Duty Management and Front Office operations, giving you a full overview of hotel operations.
As an intern, you will:
* Be the first point of contact for guests, staff, and management
* Handle guest check-ins and check-outs in a professional and welcoming manner
* Support Guest Relations tasks, ensuring an excellent guest experience
* Assist in handling complaints, turning challenges into positive outcomes
* Act as a key link between departments, ensuring smooth communication
* Stay informed about daily operations and ensure guests' expectations are exceeded
* Provide recommendations about Amsterdam and promote the ALL loyalty program
* Prepare shift reports for management at the end of the day
You will learn to anticipate guest needs, respond to unexpected situations, and take on responsibility in a fast-paced hotel environment
