The opportunity
We are looking for a Human Resources Intern to join the Talent Shared Services team. The HR Intern will support the Talent team and other HR activities within Talent Shared Services. The HR Intern will perform HR support and administrative functions within the Talent Shared Services team and assist in answering inquiries from staff members regarding human resources policies and processes. The HR Interns work is generally determined and managed by his/her supervisor and includes performing transactions, coordinating events, data entry, records management, recruitment and onboarding support and other HR processes.
Your key responsibilities
* Provide general Human Resources support.
* Assist in supporting events and processes;
* Respond in a timely manner and meet or exceed deadlines;
* Escalate issues that are outside of standard process;
* Remain available to answer inquiries during assigned working hours (8:30 am to 5:15 pm);
* Execute on tasks and special projects as assigned in a timely manner.
* Other Cognitive Tasks.

* Ability to remain efficient and extremely organized while handling a high volume of work
* Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks
* Strong communication and listening skills
* Demonstrated initiative and ability to seek out answers to questions and problems
* Extremely trustworthy and capable of handling highly sensitive and confidential information
* Strong PC proficiency including MS word, Excel and PowerPoint
* Ability to learn new applications and techniques quickly and effectively
* Bilingual (French/English), both spoken and written is an asset but not a requirement
To qualify for the role you must have
* Graduated or enrolled in a post-secondary Human Resources certificate or degree
* Some relevant experience in Human Resources is preferred
