Job Description

You will join the Natixis CIB Economic Research team as an Emerging Markets Economist (CEEMEA region) for a 1-year apprenticeship starting in September 2026.
In collaboration with your tutor, your main responsibilities will include:
* Creating and updating databases on emerging countries;
* Modeling key macroeconomic variables to provide forecasts (short and medium-term);
* Monitoring the economic context of covered countries (CEEMEA region), including the analysis of political and geopolitical events;
* Writing research notes on ad hoc topics; Participating in team meetings with proposals for publication topics, etc.

Required Skills/Qualifications/Experience

Student Bac+5, you are pursuing a degree (university or business school) with a specialization in macroeconomic analysis.
You are interested in the challenges of emerging economies and (geo)political issues.
You have a strong command of macroeconomic theory (understanding national accounts, etc.), deciphering economic and financial news (including central bank decisions), and time series analysis (forecasting macroeconomic variables).
You possess excellent writing skills in English (C1 level required).
You have excellent interpersonal and listening skills, and you are motivated, independent, curious, and rigorous
