We're seeking a General Manager to lead Holiday Inn Frankfurt Alte Oper, a 249-room city-centre hotel in Frankfurt, Germany. Situated close to the city's banking and financial district, the opera house and major transport links, the hotel attracts a strong mix of corporate and leisure guests.
In this role, you'll be responsible for leading the overall performance of a successful Holiday Inn hotel, driving commercial results, maintaining exceptional guest experiences and developing a highly engaged team. Working closely with the owner and key stakeholders, you'll balance strategic planning with a hands-on leadership style to ensure continued growth, strong operational performance and a well-maintained property.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead all aspects of hotel operations to deliver commercial, financial and guest experience objectives.
* Drive revenue growth and profitability through effective commercial and operational strategies.
* Build and inspire a high-performing team culture across a hotel.
* Maintain strong guest engagement and visibility throughout the hotel.
* Partner with the sales and commercial teams to strengthen local business relationships and market presence.
* Ensure compliance with Holiday Inn brand standards, policies and procedures.
* Deliver consistent performance against budget and business targets.
* Identify opportunities to enhance F&B performance and drive additional revenue streams.
* Maintain the hotel in excellent condition through proactive asset and maintenance planning.
* Develop strong, collaborative relationships with ownership and key stakeholders.
On a daily basis, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the guest, colleague and owner experience. You'll lead a well-established hotel with a strong market position, ensuring sustainable business growth while creating an environment where colleagues can thrive and guests return time and again.
What We're Looking For
* Previous General Manager experience, ideally within a Holiday Inn or Holiday Inn Express environment, or a strong first-time GM candidate from a complex hotel operation.
* Strong understanding of hotel operations, with a rooms background preferred.
* Demonstrated commercial acumen and ability to drive revenue, profitability and performance.
* Experience leading and motivating teams with a hands-on, visible leadership style.
* Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and acting as a hotel host.
* Knowledge of hotel asset management and maintaining property standards.
* Ability to build relationships with owners, stakeholders and local business partners.
* Strong understanding of brand standards, policies and operational processes.
* Fluent German and English language skills is essential.
* The eligibility to work in Germany or the EU is essential.
* Knowledge of the German hospitality market preferred
