Description

The Business Analyst will drive topline growth and bottom-line efficiencies by leading Value Stream Mapping and Business Process Redesign activities. The role-holder will apply strong stakeholder and requirements management skills, using a design-thinking approach to capture gaps and opportunities for our Practice Groups and Business Professionals.
As part of our Technology Practice of Law Solutions department, the role-holder will be dedicated to ensuring a superior user experience by delivering value-added solutions, implementing technology adoption strategies, developing strategic roadmaps, and managing stakeholder relationships.
Main responsibilities:
* Apply expert knowledge of various methods for documenting all requirements, including value stream mapping, data models, data mapping, workflow diagrams, use cases, wireframes, and UI specifications; identify appropriate tools for each
* Create comprehensive business cases aligned with strategic goals; provide clear justification for project investments and facilitate collaboration between stakeholders to develop the business case
* Manage requirements across workstreams to evaluate and identify downstream impacts, traceability, and project scope alignment
* Facilitate conversations between business stakeholders and technology to bridge understanding of complex requirements, resolve conflicts, and promote collaboration
* Promote Agile Scrum processes by acting as a liaison between the development team and stakeholders; participate in Scrum ceremonies, manage user stories and product backlog items, and ensure effective stakeholder management
* Work outside normal business hours as needed to communicate with people in multiple time zones
* Serve as a liaison to:

* Practice Group and Business Stakeholders: maintain a close working relationship to elicit business requirements and discuss scoping decisions
* Enterprise Architecture & Security: collaborate early on during business requirements to review business capabilities and consider the necessary internal security processes and procedures
* Technology Teams: collaborate with all facets of technology throughout projects to maintain consistent alignment with technology initiatives, strategy, and compliance
Skills and experience:

* A bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, data science/analytics, business management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
* Strong experience in a business analysis role creating Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), managing requirements, developing use cases, system and process workflows, data mappings, and process models
* Certification in business analysis, such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA), and Agile Analysis Certification (IIBA-AAC)
* Experience in Agile SCRUM is highly desirable
* Experience in a legal environment is highly desirable
* Consulting experience is preferred
* Excellent communication skills with both team members and internal business constituents; comfortable mediating between user needs, business objectives, and technical feasibility with confidence
* Continued drive for excellence and high quality, despite frequent iterations, changes in priority, scope, and stakeholders
* Proficient in using Microsoft tools, including Azure DevOps, Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, and SharePoint
