The Airlines Solutions Engineering group provides innovative and best in class solutions to make a transformative impact onto travel.
It is structured around three core business domains:
▪ Traveler Touchpoints & Experience | Dedicated to defining, developing and operating the technology that powers seamless and personalized online experiences for airline travelers.
▪ Offer | Focusing on maximizing airline revenues by selling the right products to the right customers at the right price points.
▪ Order | Leading the transformation of reservation and financial processes behind bookings accelerating the industry's shift toward modern retailing standards.
Summary of the role:
As a Service Reliability Engineer/DevOps Engineer you will be working on projects or day to day operational activities aimed to ensure the reliability of the applications in the Airlines Business Unit (Digital, Offer, Order).
In this role you'll:
* Ensure reliability, automation, operability, performance, and cost-efficiency for critical airline products (traveler touchpoints, offer and order management).
* Work closely with global teams (Europe, US, APAC) and actively contribute to the Follow-the-Sun (FTS) operational model supporting Digital, Offer and Order applications.
About the ideal candidate:
* Strong experience in Linux environments, networking fundamentals, troubleshooting.
* Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Argo Workflows).
* Containers & orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift.
* Observability tools: Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, OpenTelemetry.
* Knowledge of Cloud platforms (Azure/GCP)
* Proficiency in scripting: Python, Shell, Go, or equivalent.
* Understanding of distributed systems, microservices, caches, databases (Couchbase, Oracle, MariaDB, MongoDB…) and event streaming (Kafka).
* Familiarity with ITIL processes (change, incident, problem).
* Strong ownership mindset, analytical thinker, structured communicator.
* Ability to collaborate with multicultural, distributed teams.
