About the Role

At Grand Hyatt Barcelona, one of the city's newest luxury landmarks, we are looking for a detail-oriented, responsible, and service-oriented Public Area Attendant to join our Housekeeping team on a temporary maternity leave replacement contract.

What You Will Do

As a Public Area Attendant, you will play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness, presentation, and overall guest impression of all public spaces within the hotel.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Clean and maintain all public areas of the hotel, including lobbies, corridors, restrooms, meeting rooms, and back-of-house areas
* Ensure that all spaces are consistently presented according to Hyatt's luxury standards
* Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and guest amenities in public areas
* Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and special cleaning needs
* Identify maintenance issues and report them to the appropriate department
* Follow all health, safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
* Handle waste disposal in a safe, clean, and environmentally responsible manner
* Support deep cleaning and special projects as required by the department
* Work closely with the Housekeeping team and other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience
* Ensure equipment is used correctly and maintained in good condition

Qualifications

What We Are Looking For

* Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles, preferably in hospitality, is a plus
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and presentation
* Positive attitude and a proactive approach to work
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Good physical condition to perform operational tasks
* Basic knowledge of hygiene and cleaning standards
* Basic Spanish; other languages are a plus
* Availability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays
