Summary of the role

As a Payments Finance Analyst, you'll help ensure accurate accounting processes, regulatory compliance, and financial integrity. Based in Madrid and reporting to the Payments Finance Manager, you'll collaborate with a team focused on accounting, reporting, and regulatory requirements.

Main Responsibilities
* Support the implementation and testing of automated accounting processes from the Outpayce Platform to SAP.
* Validate daily reconciliations and follow up on unreconciled items, working with relevant teams to resolve differences.
* Assist with regulatory reporting to the Bank of Spain and reconcile internal financial statements for consistency.
* Oversee monthly closing activities, including VAT review, cash flow reporting, and intercompany flows.
* Prepare and update internal procedures and act as a backup for business-as-usual reporting processes.

About the ideal candidate
* Degree in Economics, Finance, or Business Administration (MBA is welcome but not required).
* Relevant experience in finance, payments, or audit (experience in fintech or Big Four firms is welcome but not required).
* Knowledge of accounting and willingness to learn regulatory requirements for payment institutions.
* Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with SAP S/4HANA is an advantage.
* Language skills: Spanish proficiency for regulatory communications and English proficiency.
