Junior Software Test Engineer - Industrial Automation

Our main activity is testing and developing the Siemens S7-1500 PLC system. The S7-1500 product family, being one of Siemens' most innovative developments. Testing from basic functions to system diagnostics, various industrial bus systems (PROFIBUS, PROFINET, AS-i), and even OPC UA, there are numerous interesting and challenging tasks that await our colleagues every day.

You'll make an impact by:
* Test and validate Siemens SIMATIC S7 PLC engineering systems, focusing on system level quality
* Execute manual and automated test cases, analyze results, and report findings clearly
* Design, build, and maintain hardware test configurations with guidance from senior colleagues
* Execute existing test plans and test cases, while gradually learning test design techniques
* Analyze, document, and track defects, collaborating closely with development teams
* Support the development and maintenance of PLC software and test tools
* Support and gradually extend test automation environments

Your success is grounded in:
* University degree in electrical engineering, software engineering, mechatronics, or a related technical field
* Solid fundamentals in industrial automation and electrical engineering
* Practical experience with PLC programming, preferably SIMATIC S7 (STL / SCL / FBD / LAD)
* Confident user of Windows based environments (Windows 11 / Server)
* Experience gained through university projects, internships, laboratory work, or up to 1 year in testing or automation-related roles
* Analytical mindset, willingness to learn, ability to work both independently and in a team
* Good English communication skills (German is a plus) and motivation for continuous developmentcontinuous improvement

You'll stand out with:
* Experience with TIA Portal and SIMATIC S7 1200 / 1500
* C# programming experience
* Interest in test automation, CI/CD or industrial communication protocols
* Basic knowledge of industrial communication (OPC UA, TCP/IP, UDP)
