Key Account Manager - Oncology - Western Hungary

What you'll do

As a Key Account Manager, you will establish and continuously develop relationships with targeted accounts across our Oncology Business Unit, using an approved, omnichannel engagement mix to deepen customer insights and tailor solutions. You will plan, execute, and adapt activities that drive disease awareness, early diagnosis, and treatment initiation in line with approved materials and SmPC, while coordinating sales activities for customers and reporting KPIs to the Business Unit. You will actively share insights and collaborate with colleagues in Medical, Marketing, Market Access and other functions to shape strategy and execution.

Key Responsibilities

* Account strategy and targeting: Define and regularly refine primary and secondary target customers in line with Business Unit and Therapy Area strategy. Map customer needs and profiles through continuous insight gathering.
* Customer engagement: Leverage approved AZ channels (face-to-face, virtual, digital) to engage based on customer preferences, strengthen relationships, and co-create value.
* Promote selected AZ products strictly using approved materials and SmPC. Plan and deliver activities that increase disease awareness, early diagnosis, and appropriate treatment initiation.
* Territory planning and delivery: Analyze territory potential; design and execute plans to maximize opportunities and meet sales targets as defined in the Sales Incentive Plan.
* Cross-functional collaboration: Work seamlessly with Medical Advisors, Marketing, Market Access, Sales, and other colleagues to align on strategy and deliver impactful initiatives. Provide clear feedback to optimize marketing programs.
* Commercial execution: Coordinate institutional sales activities and support special business offers (e.g., tenders, public contracts, demand management) with Logistics and Business Specialists when required.
* Insights and reporting: Monitor competitive activity, identify risks and opportunities, and provide timely, accurate reporting on KPIs and business outlook.
* Compliance and ethics: Ensure all activities adhere to AstraZeneca policies, SHE standards, EU and national legislation, and the EFPIA and AIFP Codes. Report safety information within 24 hours per pharmacovigilance procedures and escalate any suspected product defects or counterfeits.

Your profile
* Previous KAM/MSR experience in oncology or other therapeutic areas like Hematology, Oncology, Biologics or Rare Diseases preferred however we can consider applicants from other therapy areas.
* Degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Biology, Chemistry or other healthcare related areas.
* Strong strategic mindset, organizational skills, and ability to work independently.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Valid driving license and willingness to travel within Hungary
* Fluent English & Hungarian language essential
