Description du poste:

Do you want to help build some of the largest and most consequential enterprise and customer technology systems in the world? Join Apple's Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) organization. IS&T is the engine behind everything Apple does for customers and for the people who build for them. It's Apple's central nervous system. Supporting 2.5 billion active Apple devices, processing billions of secure transactions, and keeping the technology that defines modern life running flawlessly, IS&T makes the impossible feel effortless.Do you love building solutions to handle global complexity and immense scale? Imagine what you could do here. Employee Experience and Productivity (EEP) is part of IS&T and delivers some of the most widely used communication and productivity technology and services across Apple - from tools that enable collaboration to the support teams that keep Apple's workforce running. EEP also leads user experience design and research, and manages the systems behind Apple's original content studios. Within this team is Employee Engagement & Engineering (EEE), a small, global team that quickly delivers with long-term vision, building durable, reliable systems meant to last. Our focus is on crafting high-quality, user-centred experiences - delivering AI and system interoperability to make every interaction intuitive, seamless, and genuinely useful for the people who rely on our tools.
As a DevOps Engineer on the EEE team, you will help build and operate the infrastructure and delivery pipelines behind web applications powered by Python and PHP backends - including internal Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers that connect Apple's tools and data to AI systems. You will work across CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, containers, and monitoring - gaining broad, hands-on experience in how modern services are deployed, scaled, and kept reliable. Partnering with senior engineers, you will take ownership of well-scoped tasks across build automation, deployment, and day-to-day system operations - with a strong focus on keeping services available and responsive for the people who depend on them. A meaningful part of the role is operational support: monitoring service health, responding to issues, and helping maintain the uptime our users expect. You'll handle routine work with growing independence while relying on their guidance to navigate new or more complex problems. As you go, you'll begin to connect your work to broader team and business objectives, building strong foundations in infrastructure and reliability within a small, globally distributed team where your contributions are visible from day one.
Working knowledge of Linux fundamentals and command-line tooling Familiarity with at least one scripting language (Python, Bash) for automation Understanding of CI/CD concepts and version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows Exposure to cloud services (AWS) and/or containerised environments (Docker)
Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible Exposure to container orchestration (Kubernetes) Familiarity with monitoring and observability tooling (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch) Understanding of networking fundamentals, authentication, and infrastructure security patterns Exposure to operating Python or PHP web applications in production Interest in AI tooling and integrations, such as the Model Context Protocol (MCP) B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
