Description du poste:
Mission:
Ireland is experiencing one of the largest waves of transport-infrastructure investment in its modern history, with sustainability and electrification at the core.
This role ensures Schneider Electric is positioned at the centre of that transformation - influencing outcomes, building long-term partnerships, and securing strategic growth in a priority segment.
The Transportation Segment Sales Manager will lead Schneider Electric's commercial engagement across major Irish transportation-related decarbonisation and electrification programmes.
Ireland is undergoing unprecedented investment in critical transport infrastructure - including Dublin Port modernisation, Dublin Airport expansion, Dublin Metro / Metrolink, DART+ electrification and wider Irish Rail projects.
This role is responsible for positioning Schneider Electric as the preferred energy, automation, and digitalisation partner for these projects, shaping specifications early, driving influence with end users and Tier 1 contractors, and securing long-term pipeline for Schneider Electric.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Market Engagement:
* Lead Schneider Electric's commercial strategy across large transportation decarbonisation and electrification projects in Ireland.
* Build strong relationships with Irish transport authorities, including Iarnród Éireann (Irish Rail), Transdev (LUAS), NTA, Dublin Airport Authority, and Port of Dublin stakeholders.
End-User Influence & Program Development
* Drive early engagement with end-user engineering and programme teams to shape technical specifications, grid-modernisation requirements, microgrid strategy, SCADA/BMS integration, and energy-efficiency initiatives.
* Influence sustainability programmes such as fleet electrification, charging infrastructure, shore power for ports, rail network electrification, and digital operations optimisation.
Pipeline Creation & Opportunity Leadership
* Identify, qualify, and develop multimillion-euro opportunities aligned to national infrastructure investment and transport-sector energy transition.
* Use CRM and internal governance processes to ensure opportunity rigor, deal validation, and high-quality forecasting.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Work closely across Business Units to deliver integrated value propositions.
* Support internal engineering, consultancy, and marketing teams on customer workshops, technical guidance, and solution positioning.
* Engage with the European Rail Team, and global transport specialists to bring international best practices into Irish projects.
Thought Leadership & Advocacy
* Represent Schneider Electric in transport sustainability forums, innovation workshops, and stakeholder consultations.
* Promote electrification, digitalisation, and decarbonisation technologies within Ireland's national infrastructure strategy.
Skills & Experience:
* Ability to navigate multi-stakeholder, multi-year programmes.
* Knowledge of Irish public-sector procurement, transport authorities, Tier 1 contractor ecosystem, or regulated infrastructure markets.
* Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
* Commercial acumen with the ability to articulate ROI, energy-transition value, and digital-transformation benefits.
* Ability to work autonomously across Ireland while coordinating cross-border teams (UK, EU).
* Excellent communication skills, particularly in technical storytelling at senior level.
* Proven experience in complex solution sales (energy, infrastructure, utilities, rail, ports, or airports).
* Strong understanding of power distribution, electrification, microgrid/DER solutions, automation, or digital energy systems.
* Experience influencing stakeholders in large capital-investment or multi-year infrastructure programmes.
