Pricing Actuary/Data Analyst

JOB PURPOSE/ROLE

The candidate would be required to provide support to the Non Motor Actuarial Office across the full spectrum of Pricing analysis.

The individual's key responsibilities are listed below:

* Support the data ingestion and data transformation procedures
* Data exploration, transformation and cleaning procedures
* Structuring data science solutions to achieve a given set of business objectives
* Build and prototype analysis and Machine Learning models and support their implementation and deployment in the systems of the company
* Model customer's behavior based on market and competitor's analysis
* Implement and enhance dashboards and business intelligence tools to support risk analysis and portfolio management
* Implementation of Radar Base Projects for Impact Analysis/Scenario Testing
* Implementation of the tariff (both Technical and Commercial), discount, UW rules, renewal process in Radar Live in accordance with technical specification provided by Pricing Actuaries, Product Development and Anti-Fraud people
* Doing Research and Development to find new technical solutions

KEY REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

* PhD or Master's degree in a quantitative field (i.e. computer science, mathematics, physics, statistics or engineering)
* Minimum two years working experience in a similar role
* Good hands-on knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Python, SAS or R)
* Experience with Pandas or SQL for data manipulation and analysis
* Familiarity with machine learning techniques like gradient boosting machines and linear models
* Passion and ability for data exploration, analysis and modelling in order to design and develop systems to support strategic business decisions
* Preferably knowledge of the Tower Watson Suite: Emblem, Radar
* Fluent in Italian and English
* Ability to work independently as well as engage and interact with different stakeholders
