About this role:
Our Technology Strategy and Operations team is seeking a Project Manager to lead administration of the IT Strategic Portfolio Management processes and tool. You will implement SPM capabilities and processes to be utilized across the IT department, maintaining overall responsibility for the SPM processes and coordination across multiple IT PMO teams. You will provide training to users and will be responsible for access control, security, preparing system requirements, documentation, and UAT/regression testing of any development with respect to the SPM tool.
What you'll do:
* Responsible for managing and maintaining the processes of an enterprise software platform used to prioritize, track, and analyze an organization's strategic initiatives, programs, and projects.
* Ensuring smooth operation, data accuracy, and efficient access for users to support informed decision-making regarding project selection and resource allocation across the portfolio
* Key duties include system configuration, user management, data integrity checks, reporting generation, and providing technical support to stakeholders.
* Monitor system performance, identify and troubleshoot technical issues, and collaborate with the development team to implement updates and patches.
* Manage data integrations with other systems to ensure accurate data flow.
* Uphold security protocols to protect sensitive data within the system.
* Define and enforce data quality standards, ensuring accurate data entry and validation.
* Regularly review and clean data to maintain data integrity.
* Develop and maintain data dictionaries to clarify data definitions and usage.
* Create customized reports and dashboards to visualize key portfolio metrics (e.g., project status, resource utilization, financial impact).
* Analyze portfolio data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for optimization.
* Apply project management methodologies to manage projects related to SPM, inclusive of project planning, backlog refinement, scope definition, team collaboration, documentation, and roll-out activities.
* Generate reports for senior management and stakeholders to support strategic decision-making.
* Provide training and support to users on navigating the SPM system and utilizing its functionalities.
* Address user queries and resolve system-related issues.
* Gather feedback from users to identify areas for improvement and system enhancements.
* Configure and manage workflows within the SPM system to streamline project intake, prioritization, and approval processes.
* Ensure adherence to established portfolio management methodologies and governance procedures.
What you'll need:
* 2 to 4 years progressive technology experience with administrating strategic portfolio management tools at an enterprise level.
* Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies
* Expertise in Strategic Portfolio Management software (e.g., Planview, ServiceNow, etc.) will be preferred.
* Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and visualization tools
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders
* Proficiency in gathering and documenting business requirements and processes
* Technical skills in database management, system integration, and troubleshooting
* Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to changing business requirements
* Excellent verbal & written communication skills with demonstrated ability to convey complex concepts and analyses in an accessible and compelling way.
* Strong knowledge of tech operations practices with SPM Tools and a proven ability to establish trusted business relationships across business units
* Results-oriented with strategic thinking and a proven track record of solving complex problems, thinking creatively and successfully drawing the larger business story out of facts and data.
* Demonstrated ability to lead projects and teams in a fast-paced environment and to inspire rapid adoption of change in a complex matrixed organization with distributed virtual teams.
* Scrum/Agile certification, PMP certification preferred
