Role Overview
The Expert, GSC Digital Business Partner, will play a generalist role in advancing the digitalization of Schneider's factories. This on-site position requires thorough involvement in Global Supply Chain (GSC) business processes and operations, demanding an understanding of their challenges and the ability to convert digital requirements into effective IT solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure Compliance: Maintain factory compliance with Schneider Digital standards.
* Digital Transformation: Serve as the primary digital contact and contribute to GSC business transformation projects.
* Technical Debt Reduction: Identify and prevent technical debt across the organization, including managing Shadow IT and infrastructure by retiring unsustainable assets.
* IT Asset Management: Track the lifecycle of IT assets, such as printers (label and paper), mitigate obsolescence risks, and coordinate with the Assets/Tech teams and printer vendors.
* Collaboration: Work efficiently with teammates including Tech Partners, In-Plants, vendors, and interns.
* Stakeholder Communication: Maintain active communication with key stakeholders in the GSC Business Units.
* Cross-Team Coordination: Act as a bridge to global digital expert teams (e.g., SAP, Connectivity, Network Security, Asset Management, Tech Partners, Cyber Security) to address and resolve business needs.
* Operational Support: Coordinate and actively participate in managing power and network outages, electrical maintenance, data center changes, UPS maintenance, and related activities.
* Data Center Modernization: Remain accountable for keeping the Data Center room up to date with modern standards.
* Status Reporting: Collaborate with and report high-level status updates to plant managers and finance controllers.
* Project Management: Assess digital needs in GSC projects, track project schedules, identify and monitor issues and risks, and ensure project delivery meets the three key KPIs: timeliness, budget adherence, and quality standards.
* Regional and Global Collaboration: Support and contribute to regional North America (NAM) or global projects related to connectivity and infrastructure.
* Flexibility and Support: Be willing to work additional hours and provide backup support for peers as needed.
* Cybersecurity Partnership: Serve as the backup for and collaborate with the Site Cybersecurity Digital Lead (SCDL) on digital actions to achieve KPIs.
Educational Background
Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in one of the following fields: Informatics, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline. An equivalent qualification may also be considered.
Methodology and Technical Knowledge
Applicants should demonstrate knowledge of Agile Methodology, with practical experience in frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban. Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, such as Oracle or SAP, is required. Additionally, candidates should have experience with Business Intelligence tools, including Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
Communication and Analytical Abilities
Strong oral and written communication skills are essential. Candidates should possess analytical thinking capabilities, be adept at problem-solving, and pay close attention to detail.
Organizational and Interpersonal Competencies
Effective organizational skills, the ability to perform stakeholder analysis, and proficiency in risk assessment are necessary. Resilience, flexibility, and collaboration skills are highly valued in this role.
Technical Proficiency
An intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required. Candidates should also be comfortable using collaboration tools such as Teams, SharePoint, and Jira.
Technology Knowledge
Knowledge of Internet of Things (IoT) technology is expected.
