What You'll Do
As a Field Technical Engineer, you will provide hands-on technical and clinical support to customers using Abbott's EP solutions. You will collaborate closely with hospitals and internal teams to ensure safe, effective, and high-quality procedures.
* Provide on-site technical support to physicians and nurses during EP procedures in cath lab environments
* Prepare, set up, and support Abbott systems and disposable products before and during procedures
* Act as the technical expert in the room, providing troubleshooting support and ensuring optimal system performance
* Build strong, professional relationships with hospital staff through reliability, adaptability, and a solution-oriented approach
* Support system installations, product launches, and customer training in collaboration with Sales and Clinical teams
* Maintain accurate documentation of visits, cases, and customer information in Abbott systems
* Continuously develop technical and clinical expertise through Abbott's structured training programs
* Travel extensively across Norway, with occasional support to the wider Nordic region as needed
What You'll Bring
* Technical, biomedical, engineering, or clinical background, or equivalent hands-on experience
* Strong interest in medical technology and working in a clinical, patient-focused environment
* Willingness and ability to travel extensively within Norway and occasionally across the Nordics
* Based in Norway, or willing to relocate
* Ability to work independently in the field while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams
* Good communication skills in English (spoken and written); Norwegian is required
* Curiosity, learning agility, and motivation to develop expertise in Electrophysiology (previous EP experience is an advantage but not required)
* A structured, quality-focused mindset and comfort working in regulated environments
