Job title: Manager Group Regulatory Affairs Access & Benefit Sharing (ABS)
Location: Grasse, France (or Geneva / Kaiseraugst, Switzerland; Delft, the Netherlands)

This role safeguards responsible innovation by embedding Access & Benefit-Sharing (ABS) compliance across the company. By connecting Science & Research, Legal, Procurement, and digital teams, it transforms complex regulations into clear processes, trusted data, and scalable systems. It enables researchers and business units to innovate with confidence, supports transparent collaboration with suppliers and customers, and ensures that the use of biological resources is ethical, compliant, and future-proof.

Your key responsibilities
* Coordinate and collaborate with other functions (e.g. S&R, procurement, legal) to secure that due diligence is applied in establishing dsm-firmenich's obligations under relevant ABS regulations and frameworks
* Develop and maintain up-to-date internal procedures/SOPs how to secure ABS compliance
* Maintain future-proof database of all samples for which ABS is relevant
* Qualify ABS compliance status for materials (and associated information) used in R&D and/or production; clear ABS compliance at relevant internal checkpoints
* Be the key point-of-contact for researchers and provide ABS trainings and guidance to internal stakeholders
* Contribute to the further development of IT tools and processes to collect and automatically process ABS-relevant information
* Provide specific expertise to our BUs and customers as well as to our suppliers. Monitor regulatory developments and translate into business impact

You bring
* Master diploma in chemistry, biotechnology, food science, and related fields. PhD is a plus
* A passion for sustainability and biodiversity
* Demonstrated experience with ABS compliance in an industrial environment
* Ability to navigate through complexity and uncertainty, to communicate effectively and to present complex and/or new themes with clarity
* High learning ability and strong organizational skills, strong drive - continuously looks for ways to improve
* Drive for improvement of business results and higher level of performance
* Work effectively with peers, partners, and others who are not in the line of command
* English fluent, any other language is a plus
