Merchandising Innovation Specialist

The Merchandising Innovation Specialist is responsible for understanding the behaviour of its shoppers and develop, test and scale new concepts of merchandising to increase conversion in point of sales, across all channels/customers/categories. You work as part of the shopper marketing team, closely with category management.

Business Strategy / Strategic Vision
Drive continuous renewed concepts, based on data and analysis, to maximize conversation mechanics on point of sales. Compile, analyze all business data related to set up and text relevant actions to drive merchandising solutions.

Impact on Business Results
Responsible for understanding the behaviour of shoppers within Retail and AFH customers and creating new pockets of growth via merchandising innovations. Via test & learns optimizing these concepts and fuelling full cross-functional customer teams to scale up nationally to impact overall ROS.

Process & Projects
Lead & Create insights on path to purchase, esp. on drivers of conversion drop out + what creative new concepts to develop. Leading test & learns on merchandising for all channels/categories. Maximize relationship with top stores for bringing external in, whilst enabling effective test & learn deployment.

The key deliverables are:
* Analysis, assessment & concepts for improved merchandising
* Test & Learns Test & Learns into key relevant test stores
* Tracking and reporting across all relevant metrics on merchandising innovations.
* Direction of sell/in story for concept scale up via HQ on national level.
The external stakeholders will be:
External 3rd party suppliers for Data & insights, but also activation & merchandising partners Influence & Engage with Category Managers, Buyers, Merchandising mgt from retailers. Engage & Convince top 20 stores of key retailers (entrepreneurs / store managers).

* Native Dutch speaker, Fluent in English.
* Bachelor or Master educational/working level.
* Ability to define insights from data and co-build recommendation to drive shopper conversion through merchandising, identify and grow new business opportunities.
* Strong analytical skills with specific understanding of the conversion specific KPIs.
* Communication skills, able to engage constructively externally with HQ Retailers
* Proactive, able to deal with ambiguity
* Experience in Dutch FMCG market (min 1 years) within commercial
