Scientific Advisor

Assist the local commercial organization by providing scientific and medical input related to the medical strategy and compliance for therapeutic and healthcare brands, in alignment with the Consumer Health (CH) division strategy, under the supervision of senior Medical Affairs colleagues; Collaborate with the Medical Home team to support the execution of medical strategies in the market and help ensure that scientific and medical perspectives are fully integrated into brand and portfolio decisions.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Contribute as a core member of cross-functional brand teams by providing medical and scientific input (under guidance) to assess and interpret efficacy, safety, pharmacokinetics, and clinical data;

* Translate complex scientific information into clear, relevant insights that support commercialization activities, including substantiating and defending advertising and promotional claims;

* Provide evidence-based medical context to support business discussions and decision-making, proactively highlighting risks and opportunities and escalating topics and recommendations as needed;

* Support the identification, engagement, and management of thought leaders and key opinion leaders, including preparation for and facilitation of Scientific Advisory Boards under guidance;

* Aid in the planning and execution of medical programs (e.g., clinical studies, non-interventional projects, continuing medical education) through thought leader networks, including coordination of materials, timelines, and internal stakeholders;

* Assist in the development, medical review, and approval of scientific and promotional materials, ensuring compliance with internal processes, local regulations, and timely outcomes;

* Facilitate internal communication by monitoring relevant publications and scientific updates, summarizing key insights, and proactively sharing implications for brands with cross-functional partners;

* Support compliance by helping ensure that healthcare-provider-related materials, events, and interactions follow established processes, preparing required documentation and escalating potential issues as needed;

* Contribute to Medical Information activities for assigned products, including preparing scientifically sound responses and tracking inquiries in line with approved content and standards;

* Provide medical input to Regulatory Affairs and other functions, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure appropriate review, sign-off, and alignment across Medical, Regulatory, and Commercial teams.

WHO YOU ARE

* Degree in Human Medicine (MD), Pharmacy, or Life Sciences;

* Initial experience in the pharmaceutical or consumer health industry, ideally with exposure to Medical Affairs and/or clinical research; Consumer Health experience is a plus;

* Understanding of the local consumer health market and regulatory environment, with the ability to apply this knowledge to brand and medical strategies;

* Experience working with brand teams and in cross-functional settings, collaborating effectively with Marketing, Sales, Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacovigilance, and other key stakeholders;

* Fluent in English, both written and spoken;

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to tailor scientific messages to diverse audiences;

* Creative and innovative mindset, combined with a structured way of thinking and the ability to connect medical insights to brand and portfolio needs;

* Strong collaborative and flexible team player, proactive in creating value for Bayer's customers and consumers and comfortable working in a dynamic, matrixed environment.
