About this opportunity
At Lloyds Banking Group, we're redefining what it means to be a bank. We've torn up the rule book and put our customers at the heart of everything we do - focusing on the jobs they need to get done and how we can make it easier for them. Join us on this exciting journey as we shape the future of banking.
We have identified a set of Life Events and are looking to create a range of products, propositions and digital journeys designed to support customers through the moments that shape their financial lives. We have launched our first life event "My First Home" helping our 7.8m first time buying customers buy their first home and we have 2 further Life Events to shape across 2026.
We're now looking for a customer-focused Product Owner to help define, build and optimise these propositions, ensuring they are simple, supportive and deliver real value. In this role, the focus is on developing the 1st MVP for a new Life Event. This will involve taking a package of features through the e2e workflow. From identifying the features, prioritising those for discovery and getting them ready to build. You'll work alongside all fields within an agile team.
As a Product Owner, you'll:
* Lead the vision, strategy and roadmap for a set of Life Events Propositions
* Build, manage and prioritise a clear backlog aligned to customer needs and Group objectives
* Use data, insight and research to understand customer behaviour and identify opportunities to improve journeys
* Partner closely with engineering, design, analytics and policy teams to deliver high-quality features and experiences
* Track KPIs, measure outcomes and drive continuous improvement across propositions
* Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the bank to ensure alignment and effective governance
* Ensure propositions support LBG's purpose of helping Britain prosper
About us
If you think all banks are the same, you'd be wrong. We're an innovative, fast-changing business that's shaping finance as a force for good. A bank that's empowering its people to innovate, explore possibilities and grow with purpose.
What you'll need
* Experience in product ownership or product management in a digital setting along with experience of prioritising product backlogs
* Good understanding of the agile toolsets such as Jira/Jira Align and comfortable working in agile, multidisciplinary teams
* Strong customer-centric approach with the ability to simplify complex financial journeys
* Confident using data and insight to guide decisions and shape priorities (eg Adobe Analytics)
* Effective communicator who can influence and collaborate across teams and seniority levels
* Organised, delivery-focused and committed to achieving meaningful outcomes.
And any experience of these would be useful
* Relevant experience within the Financial Services industry
