Join us as a Strategy Lead at NatWest Boxed
* In this key role, you'll support all aspects of our strategic activities to help articulate and deliver the overall strategy and purpose in NatWest Boxed
* Day-to-day, you'll be improving our customers' experiences, product and delivering stated outcomes and measures in the most efficient and cost-effective way
* In return, you'll enjoy lots of exposure to our senior stakeholders including executive committees
What you'll do
As a Strategy Lead, you'll be contributing to the achievement of the business area's goals by ensuring appropriate and clear strategy. You'll be helping to provide strategic analysis, customer insights and market context to support the development of the business strategy while making sure that best in class approaches and lessons learned are built into the business strategy
Your other key responsibilities will include:
* Working with the function, businesses and relevant support and control functions to help develop robust strategies, plans and projects
* Helping to deliver the customer experience and product strategy across the business
* Monitoring and analysing competitors' performance and activity, product trends (in collaboration with the product team) new business opportunities and emerging customer, regulatory and competitive trends
* Supporting the continuous improvement of Boxed operating model through strategic insights
* Contributing to developing a deep understanding of relevant issues, collaborating across the business to identify key areas informed by customer insights, product trends and market dynamics
* Building strong relationships across Boxed and Retail as well as with strategy teams across the bank
* Engaging with senior stakeholders including members of the NatWest Boxed Leadership Team, NatWest Boxed Executive Steering Group and Mettle Executive Committees to provide them with updates on our strategy including financial performance and progress to plan
The skills you'll need
You'll already have experience of business strategy within a financial services environment or ex consultancy background. We'll need you to bring a comprehensive understanding of the Banking as a Service market including a broad understanding of the competitive landscape and current and future trends and issues facing the business.
On top of this, you'll need:
* Knowledge of the competitive landscape and current and future needs and behaviours of personal and corporate customers in the Banking-as-a-Service space
* Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to work with a range of stakeholders and influence and challenge constructively
* The ability to convey complex information and ideas clearly to build understanding and support; focus on compelling structuring and execution of presentation for a senior audience
* Deep strategic and analytical thinking skills and toolkit
* Relevant working experience with proven track record in strategy
