Technical Business Analyst
Location: Glasgow - hybrid working
Salary: £50-63K (plus up to 10% bonus and private healthcare cover)
Permanent, Full Time
Help us create a better future, quicker
ScottishPower is looking for experienced Technical Business Analysts to join our Customer Business Centre of Excellence, playing a key role in shaping and improving the technology that underpins our customer operations. This role sits at the intersection of business and technology, focused on delivering high-impact solutions that enhance system performance, reliability and customer experience across critical platforms.
What you'll be doing
You will translate business requirements into clear, actionable technical solutions, working across the full delivery lifecycle from early analysis and solution design through to implementation and continuous improvement. This includes driving system enhancements, technical upgrades and cloud-based initiatives, with exposure to platforms such as SAP and telecoms technologies.
Collaboration is central to the role. You will work closely with developers, architects, business stakeholders and third-party vendors to ensure solutions are aligned to business goals and delivered to a high standard. You will also prioritise work based on business value, risk and customer impact.
A key responsibility will be analysing and improving system performance. You will identify root causes of issues and work with delivery teams to implement fixes that improve stability and reliability. You will also contribute to system security through active involvement in vulnerability management and remediation activities.
What you'll bring
We are looking for individuals with proven experience in a Technical Business Analyst or similar role within complex IT environments. You will be confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels, with the ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and concise way. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset are essential.
Experience working in Agile environments is important. Knowledge of technologies such as APIs, AWS, SAP, telecoms platforms, SQL, Oracle databases or Java will be highly beneficial, but not essential.
This is an opportunity to work on meaningful, high-impact initiatives in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment, where you will play a key role in shaping and improving customer-facing technology at ScottishPower.
What's in it for you
As well as a competitive salary which is reviewed annually, you can also enjoy a number of other benefits. With our pension scheme, we'll double match your contribution up to a company contribution of 10%.
