Job Description:

* Analyse customer requirements.
* Create electrical schematic drawings for EOL diagnostic hardware using EPLAN.
* Create 2D and 3D mechanical drawings for EOL diagnostic hardware using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
* Create RFQs for third-party vendors.
* Coordinate with and guide third-party vendors to build the EOL diagnostic hardware.
* Perform on-site testing/validation and deployment of EOL diagnostic hardware.
* Preparing for and participating in plant launches of EOL test systems.
* Work at customer premises to resolve issues during installation and commissioning.
* Author and deliver customer training.
* Prepare related design and user documentation, (user requirements/design specification/hardware validation, user guides)
* Provide effective communication with the customer as required

Qualifications:

Essential:
* At least 2 years' experience of electrical hardware design in an industrial environment.
* Demonstrable experience in using electrical schematic drawing tools, e.g., EPLAN or similar.
* Demonstrable experience in using 2D drawing tools, e.g., AutoCAD or similar.
* Demonstrable experience in using 3D drawing tools, e.g., SolidWorks or similar.
* Demonstrable experience of electrical control panel design and manufacture
* Awareness of electrical safety standard and testing.
* Work conscientiously and responsibly, have good learning and communication skills.
* Be able to work under pressure, alone and as part of a team.
* Good written and oral English.
Desirable:
* Knowledge of the principles of vehicle diagnostic communication protocols (e.g., DOIP and CAN) and related automotive diagnostic standard requirements.

Education:
* Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical, electro-mechanical, automation or other relevant discipline.

Travel requirements:
Occasionally, depending on project needs, the successful candidate may be required to travel in the UK and internationally, for both customer meetings and technical meetings with (COMPANY NAME) colleagues.
