About this role
We are looking for a Technology Manager to join the Partner Loyalty team within the Ventures department. You will oversee a cross-functional team focussed on rewarding customer engagement through partner-funded initiatives. The team will play a pivotal role in the delivery of a new, global loyalty proposition and the consolidation of existing systems towards a single robust, simplified and scalable platform.
In this role, you will embody our core values: Lead with vision, Deliver with precision, and Care for your colleagues and customers. You'll foster a customer-centric culture, working collaboratively to scale our global loyalty footprint.
These are some of the key components to the position:
* Lead a cross-functional team of web, backend, and mobile engineers to deliver high-quality loyalty solutions.
* Collaborate with Product and Delivery Managers to define the roadmap and ensure technical feasibility and timely project execution.
* Own the architectural direction for our .NET components, ensuring stability, scalability, and adherence to engineering best practices.
* Drive the consolidation of our platform to simplify existing complexity and create a foundation for rapid global expansion.
* Manage end-to-end delivery of loyalty programs, starting with a major UK launch and subsequent international rollouts.
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and mitigating technical debt and optimising development workflows.
* Provide supervisory leadership and mentorship, emphasizing collaboration and helping every team member succeed in their career.
* Set high standards for excellence, promoting rigorous testing, cloud infrastructure best practices, and operational reliability.
What will you bring to the team?
* Empathetic leadership skills with a proven ability to coach and mentor engineers through different stages of their careers.
* Technical proficiency in .NET and experience providing architectural guidance for complex, distributed backend systems.
* Experience with cloud platforms, ensuring our infrastructure is scalable, secure, and cost-effective.
* A commitment to driving excellence, aiming high to ensure the platform supports long-term global growth.
* Excellent communication skills to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external loyalty partners.
* A proactive approach to responsibility, taking ownership of the team's roadmap and the technical health of the platform.
* The ability to simplify the complex, creating clarity for the team and stakeholders regarding technical constraints and opportunities.
