The project: Our client is the utilities provider in the South-East geographic area. Their purpose is to deliver services in an environmentally sustainable, economically beneficial, and socially responsible manner and create sustainable long-term value for all.
As the Project Controls Manager, you will work within capital delivery, and you will work with project teams in a collaborative environment interacting positively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for the simultaneous delivery of a number of water and water recycling projects and/or programmes within their AMP8 programme. The role will ensure our clients project governance procedures are followed including risk, cost and change control and will work collaboratively with other teams across the business to deliver projects.
Delivering the implementation and delivery of a range of PMO and project controls services to designated projects within the PMO and planning centre of excellence.
You'll be responsible for:
* Developing and embedding effective PMO and project controls frameworks to enhance client outcomes.
* Managing project teams in cost, schedule, change, risk and reporting processes, supporting long-term strategic improvement.
* Fostering collaboration, innovation and knowledge-sharing, supporting resourcing and best-practice delivery.
* Supporting full PMO and project controls delivery, managing cost, schedule, risk, change and baseline performance.
* Implementing frameworks and governance, producing accurate reporting and coordinating with project and PMO leaders.
* Building strong client relationships and drive compliant, best-practice delivery aligned with Mace standards.
* Collaborating across disciplines, mentor junior staff and contribute to net-zero focused project outcomes.
You'll need to have:
* Assist in portfolio governance and assurance activities.
* Maintain PMO systems for obligations, milestones, and benefits realization.
* Support preparation of portfolio management handbooks and frameworks.
* Membership of RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
* Extensive experience in the successful delivery phase of projects and programmes in the utility sector.
