We are seeking an experienced O&M Plant Manager to lead the operation of our Earls Gate Waste-to-Energy Centre in Grangemouth, Scotland
This is a senior leadership role with full accountability for plant performance, compliance, and team management, ensuring safe, efficient, and continuous operations in line with environmental permits, HSE standards, and contractual obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage all plant departments through the site leadership team, ensuring safe and efficient operations across the facility.
* Oversee plant performance, including monitoring systems, identifying improvements, and delivering against financial and contractual targets.
* Manage plant budgets (P&L), control expenditures, and drive continuous cost optimisation and profitability.
* Ensure compliance with environmental permits (PPC), HSE regulations, and all contractual obligations.
* Act as the primary interface with regulatory bodies, stakeholders, and external agencies, with overall responsibility for site operations.
Leadership & HSEQ:
* Demonstrate visible leadership and commitment to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ).
* Ensure a safe and compliant working environment through effective risk management and resource planning.
* Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions to drive continuous improvement.
* Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to all HSE policies and procedures.
* Ensure robust HSE monitoring, reporting, and compliance with legal and permit requirements.

Profil requis du candidat:

Qualifications & Experience:
* Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
* Postgraduate qualification in management is desirable.
* IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent certification.
* Extensive experience in a senior leadership role.
* Proven experience within Energy-from-Waste, power generation, or similar process industries.
Skills & Competencies:
* Strong financial acumen, including budget management, forecasting, and cost control.
* Strategic and analytical thinker with the ability to drive business performance.
* Proven leadership capability with experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
* Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills in complex operational environments.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Additional Skills:
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
* High level of adaptability and ability to perform under pressure.
* Strong interpersonal and influencing skills across all levels.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and general business systems.
* Committed to continuous improvement and operational excellence
